Wow, it's been a while since my last post on this blog. It was also a difficult time for my creativness in the field of photography. I discovered strobes a bit along with flash studio photography and got a bit serious with this stuff.

Trees

One of my first spring-time walks. I took my chances with trees, as there was not much more around. I love the patterns of light and shadow between them.

Spring at the bottom of the hill and a winter on a windy top - that is a short description of this short walk. We were really springy warm in the car park, when we arrived and then it got colder with every step. There was even a bit of snow and ice near the top. So the spring didn't get here fully yet, but you can feel that it's close. Anyway - just a few quick snaps taken along the route...

Castles of Scotland

When photographing Scotland there are some things you just cannot avoid. One of the most frequent landscape feature in this small and beautiful country is a castle. There are hundreds of them. Everywhere. Abandoned ruins and posh residences. Some were built for military protection and some were just a fancy place to live.

And thank to the scottish lords, Historic Scotland trust and many private owners most of them is in a great shape. Or at least it is visitable and not falling apart anymore. I have come across dozens of castles, palaces, fortresses and towers in Scotland. And some of them are pretty spectacular. Here are these more interesting ones I managed to take pictures of.

Although it is just a ruin Kilchurn Castle is an icon for the Argyle & Bute region. It sits in the middle of a swamp just by the road to Oban in the western part of Scotland. It is opened for visitors for most of the year and the view from its towers over Loch Awe is just stunning.

Snow Ice Cold

I guess I will continue my series from Scotland, but just for now something I stumbled upon today. I've got some interesting stuff from Poland! And I forgot all about it.

Just one day before New Year, when in nearby mountains we decided to climb highest peak of the range - the Big Owl. And it was middle of winter in the mountain region, so it was cold as hell(I know hell is not cold, but you know what I mean, right?). Despite temperatures, snow, ice and long way up I managed to snap a few good ones.

Best of Scotland's Lochs

Just a couple of very many unpublished that were hiding in my drawer... It's all Scotland's Lochs that I managed to capture during my 4 year stay in there. As first will come the mighty and beautiful Loch Lomond. Enjoy.

My Glasgow

It's been a while since my last post, but here it finally is. And as I have recently left Scotland for good I thought I'll put some best photos I took in there. I lived in Scotland for nearly four years, so I've got loads and loads of them. I decided to narrow my choice down to just a few of my photographs, but I am quite sure I'll be looking back in that direction again soon. I decided that if I show you the place I had been for the last three and a half years I shall do it properly. So I will start with Glasgow - chosen European City of Culture in 1990 it is always alive and buzzing.
